A 41-acre recreation district park around the Buchanan Park Recreation Center: two ballfields, a playground, two stocked trout ponds, concrete and asphalt trails with a loop to Bergen Park, and a disc golf course.
Owned and maintained by the Evergreen Park & Recreation District, Buchanan Park covers 41.25 acres around the district’s Buchanan Park Recreation Center. The district lists two baseball fields, a multipurpose field, a playground, a mix of concrete and asphalt trails with a loop connection to Denver’s Bergen Park and the NEAT trail, and two stocked trout ponds, with permits sold at the rec center.
The district’s disc golf course is here too, next to Bergen Park, with up to 20 free parking spaces off Bergen Parkway and the Park & Ride on County Road 65 a three-minute walk from hole 1 (Disc Golf, read 6 October 2026). Field bookings go through the district’s park operations staff, whose numbers are on the park page.
